About the team & this role

What 3GPP decides shapes what a satellite network can offer: the features that make IoT and 5G work over non-terrestrial links, and the 6G requirements being written right now. Sateliot takes an active part in that work, and this role owns the machinery behind it — the preparation and follow-up of the meetings, the documents and their traceability, the analysis of the contributions that matter, and the non-terrestrial simulations that give our positions their evidence. It is a back-office role with a foot in the specifications, not a travel job.

What you'll do

• Own the standardisation back-office: meeting preparation, documentation, action tracking and reporting.

• Own the non-terrestrial simulations that support our 3GPP work and our internal R&D. This calls for solid programming and hands-on practice with AI-assisted development tools.

• Lead the preparation, coordination and follow-up of 3GPP meetings: agendas, TDocs, change requests and liaison statements.

• Own document control, version management and traceability, and support the TS, TR and change-request processes.

• Coordinate with chairs, rapporteurs, delegates and technical experts, and with R&D, Product and the rest of the internal stakeholders.

• Analyse the 3GPP specifications and contributions that matter to us, and turn their potential impact into clear technical input and recommendations.

• Support our standardisation tools and workflows: requirements gathering, roadmaps, repositories, and user-acceptance testing where it applies.

What you bring

• Several years of real 3GPP work: contributions you have written and defended, and a working understanding of how a topic travels from study item to specification.

• The analytical half of the job: you can read a batch of contributions and come out with a position, not a summary.

• System knowledge of mobile networks: enough to know what a change in the specification does to a live network, across radio, core and device.

• Programming ability and hands-on simulation practice, including AI-assisted development tools.

• The coordination habit: pulling a single position out of several teams, and keeping it consistent across groups and releases.

Bonus if you have

• Non-terrestrial networks and IoT NTN from Release 17 onwards, and Store and Forward operation.

• GSMA work: roaming guidelines, network selection or operator-facing studies.

• 6G service requirements or architecture work in SA1 and SA2.

• Conformance testing (RAN5) or device certification.

Additional requirements

• Occasional travel to 3GPP meetings. The role is weighted towards analysis and coordination rather than travel.

• Hybrid work with regular on-site presence at our Barcelona HQ.

• Working proficiency in English, the language of the standardisation arena.
