About the team & this role

Sateliot delivers standard cellular IoT connectivity from space — non-terrestrial networks, one of the most active areas in telecoms right now — and the distance between a network that works and a service a customer can buy is where this role lives. The Service, Devices and Standardisation team turns our service vision into device requirements, certification criteria, standardisation priorities and end-to-end service strategy. As Senior IoT Systems & Service Architect you are the link between engineering, Product and the integration with our terrestrial operator partners, and the senior who takes on the network studies that decide what we can commit to commercially. We are looking for someone who has taken an IoT connectivity service to real customers and can place us in the operator and GSMA ecosystem.

What you'll do

• Be the technical lead within Technology, Service and Engineering for our commercial launches, and the technical reference for Sateliot's customers.

• Lead the pre-launch network deployment studies: terrestrial-satellite network selection, satellite ephemeris handling, device mobility profiles and capacity limits. These decide which use cases we can sell.

• Be the technical reference of the team for Integration, for Product and for our customers as new use cases and new services are deployed.

• Feed our roadmap with what the field shows: the problems seen during integration and deployment come back as requirements.

• Report the specification gaps we observe in the field to the standardisation teams, in 3GPP and in GSMA.

• Place Sateliot in the operator and GSMA ecosystem: roaming, network selection and the interfaces where our service meets a mobile operator's.

What you bring

• Senior experience in IoT services and networks across product, market and deployment: you have taken a connectivity service from definition to real customers at scale.

• Working knowledge of the mobile operator and GSMA ecosystem — roaming, service interfaces, and how an operator integration actually gets agreed and delivered.

• System and service engineering judgement: able to own an end-to-end network study and defend its conclusions internally, to engineers and to senior management alike.

• A track record on the boundary between engineering and product, translating technical constraints into commitments a business can rely on.

Bonus if you have

• NB-IoT or LTE-M deployments at scale, and satellite IoT or NTN (3GPP Release 17 onwards).

• Device certification and interoperability programmes in a multi-vendor ecosystem.

• 3GPP or GSMA participation.

• Experience in AI-assisted engineering workflows.

Additional requirements

• Based in Spain, with regular on-site presence at our Barcelona HQ. For the right person we are open to a remote-first arrangement with periodic weeks on site.

• Willingness to travel for operator and vendor meetings, interoperability campaigns and field trials.
