People Operations & Talent Trainee (Onboarding Specialist)
WHO ARE WE?
Sateliot is a Barcelona-based Startup in the New Space sector, becoming the first satellite telecommunications operator that will provide global and continuous connectivity to all the elements that will make up the massive Internet of Things (IoT) universe under the 5G protocol.
In order to do so, Sateliot is launching a constellation of last generation nanosatellites, located at low altitude that act as mobile towers. Sateliot is the perfect complement for large telecommunications companies by providing them with the necessary infrastructure where terrestrial technologies do not arrive.
About the Role
We are looking for an intern who is eager to truly learn how a People department operates within a deep-tech scale-up. You will be the point of reference for the onboarding experience of every new joiner at Sateliot, while providing operational support to the Talent Acquisition team for our internship recruitment processes.
This is not a "making coffee and filing papers" kind of role. This is a position where you will coordinate, execute, and improve real-life processes with a direct impact on employee experience and team efficiency.
You will work side-by-side with HR Admin, IT, Office Management, and Hiring Managers.
What You Will Do
1. Onboarding (≈ 50% of the time)
End-to-End Coordination: Manage the onboarding journey for every new hire, from the moment the offer is signed to the 3-month follow-up.
Pre-boarding Communications: Draft and send welcome emails and pre-Day 1 communications (logistics, agenda for the first week, etc.).
Logistics & IT Setup: Open IT tickets in Jira for equipment and access; coordinate office access cards with Facilities.
Data Management: Keep the onboarding tracker up to date and maintain accurate employee profiles.
2. Talent Acquisition Support for Internships (≈ 30% of the time)
Junior Sourcing: Hunt for talent on LinkedIn, InfoJobs, and university job boards for internship positions.
Screening: Conduct initial candidacy reviews (CV screening + short 15-min intro calls).
Interview Coordination: Manage agendas, book meeting rooms, and send briefings to candidates and Hiring Managers.
Pipeline Management: Maintain the ATS (Teamtailor) by moving candidates through stages, updating notes, and sending standard communications.
University Partnerships: Manage educational cooperation agreements with schools/universities, handle the signing flow via DocuSign, and prepare the necessary paperwork for HR Admin to complete the hiring process.
3. Employee Experience (≈ 20% of the time)
Structured Check-ins: Execute key check-ins (Day 1, Week 1, Month 1, and Month 3). Document findings in Personio and escalate any alerts.
Buddy Program Management: Assign buddies, lead briefings, monitor the relationship, and collect feedback.
Welcome Packs: Prepare and deliver physical and digital Welcome Packs aligned with Sateliot’s brand identity.
Continuous Improvement: Gather feedback on the process and propose concrete improvements every month.
Requirements:
Education: Current student (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in HR, Psychology, Labor Relations, Business Administration, or similar. Must be eligible for an internship agreement (convenio) with your university.
Languages: Native Spanish (or equivalent) and high-level English (B2+). You will be working with international colleagues.
Organization: Exceptional attention to detail. You will be juggling multiple threads at once (IT, Facilities, candidates, managers).
Curiosity: A real interest in the tech/space sector and the mechanics of building a company.
Nice to Have:
Previous experience (even if brief) in internships, volunteering, or people management projects.
Basic knowledge of an ATS (Teamtailor, Greenhouse, Workable) or HRIS (Personio, PayFit).
Catalan.

Type: Educational Cooperation Agreement (Internship).
Schedule: 25–30 hours/week (flexible according to your academic calendar).
