WHO ARE WE?

Sateliot is a Barcelona-based Startup in the New Space sector, becoming the first satellite telecommunications operator that will provide global and continuous connectivity to all the elements that will make up the massive Internet of Things (IoT) universe under the 5G protocol.

In order to do so, Sateliot is launching a constellation of last generation nanosatellites, located at low altitude that act as mobile towers. Sateliot is the perfect complement for large telecommunications companies by providing them with the necessary infrastructure where terrestrial technologies do not arrive.

YOUR MISSION

As a Technical Product Associate, your primary mission is to act as the central link between external standardization bodies and internal product and network teams. You will be responsible for systematically capturing, analyzing, and consolidating technical requirements originating from industry forums such as 3GPP, GSMA, GCF, and PTCRB, as well as from Sateliot’s internal product management organization.

Your role will involve translating high-level standard specifications and product feature requests into clear, structured technical requirements for the network engineering team. You will ensure end-to-end alignment across stakeholders, facilitating the accurate integration of new features and compliance updates into Sateliot’s network architecture and product roadmap.

This position requires close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to maintain the traceability of requirements, contribute to technical planning, and support the successful delivery of product releases that reflect both industry evolution and business strategy.

YOUR MAIN FUNCTIONS

Requirement Gathering & Alignment

• Capture, consolidate, and manage technical requirements from external standardization bodies (3GPP, GSMA, GCF, PTCRB) and internal product teams.
  
  

• Translate evolving industry specifications and product feature requests into structured technical requirements for the network engineering and systems architecture teams.
  
  

• Maintain traceability of technical features across product releases, ensuring alignment with relevant standards and internal development timelines.
  
  

• Coordinate cross-functional input gathering and lead structured requirement definition workshops involving Product, Network, and Standards teams.
  
  

Standards Engagement & Compliance

• Monitor standardization activities and attend working group meetings (as needed) to remain updated on key developments, ensuring timely incorporation of new requirements into the product planning process.
  
  

• Act as a conduit between standardization outputs and technical implementation, clearly communicating compliance expectations and future impact areas to internal stakeholders.
  
  

• Support alignment of product deliverables with release plans from 3GPP and other relevant bodies (e.g., 3GPP Rel-17/18, GSMA TSG workstreams).
  
  

Product Execution Support

• Support product managers in feature scoping by providing technical context from both standards and infrastructure capabilities.
  
  

• Collaborate with engineering and QA teams to define acceptance criteria, interoperability needs, and test plan implications for network-impacting features.
  
  

• Document and maintain a centralized repository of requirement specifications linked to product release versions and network upgrade cycles.
  
  

Ecosystem Collaboration

• Coordinate with MNOs, OEMs, VAS providers, and chipset/module vendors to validate interoperability and capture feedback from pilot deployments.
  
  

• Collect real-world data from POCs/pilots and convert insights into refined system requirements.
  
  

• Support the preparation of technical content for external stakeholders, demos, and ecosystem engagement.

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience: 2–3 years in telecom product development, standards management, network planning/operations, or technical program coordination roles.
  
  

• Domain Knowledge: Understanding of mobile networks (core, roaming, radio), satellite communication systems, and IoT-related technologies.
  
  

• Standards Proficiency: Working familiarity with 3GPP, GSMA, GCF, and PTCRB technical deliverables and processes; ability to interpret and map technical specifications to product or network-level implementation needs.
  
  

• Technical Communication: Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical standards and internal product features into actionable documentation for engineering teams.
  
  

• Tool Proficiency: Experience with product management or requirements tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Wrike, Asana, Excel, or similar).
  
  

• Soft Skills: Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills; ability to work cross-functionally and across geographies.
  
  

• Language: Fluency in English is required. Spanish, Portuguese, or Arabic is a plus.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
