Space Systems Engineer
WHO ARE WE?
Sateliot is a Barcelona-based Startup in the New Space sector, becoming the first satellite telecommunications operator that will provide global and continuous connectivity to all the elements that will make up the massive Internet of Things (IoT) universe under the 5G protocol.
In order to do so, Sateliot is launching a constellation of last generation nanosatellites, located at low altitude that act as mobile towers. Sateliot is the perfect complement for large telecommunications companies by providing them with the necessary infrastructure where terrestrial technologies do not arrive.
YOUR MISSION

Sateliot is actively seeking a highly motivated and skilled Space Systems Engineer to become a vital member of our rapidly expanding technology team. We are searching for an individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to tackle the unique and exciting challenges inherent in a fast-growing space telecommunications startup. YOUR MAIN FUNCTIONS
Architecture definition at system level
Identification and definition of subsystems requirements for a diverse set of satellite systems (batteries, onboard computers, comms, structures, etc).
Manage, and maintain system requirements and interfaces.
Maintain system-level documentation and configuration control.
Collaborate with the Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration, and Test (MAIT) team to support Verification and Validation (V&V) activities for designed systems.
Coordinate effectively with diverse multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Conduct comprehensive trade studies and thorough risk assessments.
Prepare detailed technical documentation and reports.
Actively participate in design and technical reviews.
Ensure full compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
Support proposal development and business development initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS
High level space systems functional design
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field
5+ years of experience in space systems engineering
Strong understanding of systems engineering principles
Experience with satellite or spacecraft development
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Knowledge of space mission lifecycle and operations
Ability to manage complex technical projects
Excellent requirements capture, tracking and V&V skills
Familiarity with industry standards such as ECSS or NASA
Collaborative approach to projects
