WHO ARE WE?

Sateliot is a Barcelona-based Startup in the New Space sector, becoming the first satellite telecommunications operator that will provide global and continuous connectivity to all the elements that will make up the massive Internet of Things (IoT) universe under the 5G protocol.

In order to do so, Sateliot is launching a constellation of last generation nanosatellites, located at low altitude that act as mobile towers. Sateliot is the perfect complement for large telecommunications companies by providing them with the necessary infrastructure where terrestrial technologies do not arrive.

YOUR MISSION

The Ground Station Engineer is responsible for designing, assembling, and maintaining ground station systems using commercial components and software-defined radios (SDRs).
He/She also supports integration with external Ground Station as a Service (GSaaS) providers and ensure reliable communication links.
This role enables the company’s objective to scale a robust and flexible ground segment for NB-IoT connectivity.

YOUR MAIN FUNCTIONS

• Design and integrate ground station hardware using commercial off-the-shelf components.
• Configure and maintain RF modems, antennas, and communication infrastructure.
• Support integration with GSaaS platforms like KSAT or Leaf Space, including modem compatibility.
• Develop and test SDR-based modem solutions for future Sateliot waveforms.

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Telecommunications, Aerospace, or related Engineering disciplines.
• Strong knowledge of RF systems, satellite links (Ka, S-band), and modulation schemes.
• Experience configuring ground station modems, antennas, and RF front-end components.
• Familiarity with Linux systems, scripting (Python/Bash), and networking fundamentals.

NICE TO HAVE

• Hands-on experience with SDR tools (e.g., GNU Radio).
• Experience with GSaaS platforms
