WHO ARE WE?

Sateliot is a Barcelona-based Startup in the New Space sector, becoming the first satellite telecommunications operator that will provide global and continuous connectivity to all the elements that will make up the massive Internet of Things (IoT) universe under the 5G protocol.

In order to do so, Sateliot is launching a constellation of last generation nanosatellites, located at low altitude that act as mobile towers. Sateliot is the perfect complement for large telecommunications companies by providing them with the necessary infrastructure where terrestrial technologies do not arrive.

YOUR MISSION

Lead end-to-end delivery of full-stack projects, from API design through frontend interfaces, while championing best practices in code quality, testing, and cloud integration. You’ll mentor other engineers if needed, perform code reviews, and help define the technical roadmap for our web platform stack. Your deep experience in PHP (Laravel), Python (Flask), RESTful APIs, Microservices and AWS will be instrumental in scaling our internal tools and external integrations.

YOUR MAIN FUNCTIONS

• Full-Stack Development

Architect, build, and optimize web applications using PHP (Laravel) and Python (Flask).

Implement and maintain RESTful APIs for internal systems and third-party integrations.

• Cloud & DevOps Collaboration

Design and integrate common AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, SNS, etc.) into our applications.

Contribute to CI/CD pipelines (Github Actions) for automated testing and deployment.

• Code Quality & Reviews

Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, accompanied by unit and integration tests.

Review peers’ code, enforce coding standards, and leverage SonarQube (or equivalent) to measure and improve quality.

• Performance & Optimization

Diagnose and resolve complex performance bottlenecks at both application and database levels.

Profile, benchmark, and tune PHP, Python, and JavaScript code for scalability.

• Agile Collaboration

Manage tasks in Jira; actively participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.

Collaborate with product owners, UX designers, and DevOps/Network engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions.

• Frontend Excellence

Develop responsive user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; bring in modern frameworks (Vue.js, React, or Angular) where appropriate.

REQUIREMENTS

• ≥ 5 years as a full-stack developer, with a strong focus on PHP and Laravel.

• Proven track record building production applications with Python and Flask.

• Expertise designing and consuming RESTful APIs.

• Hands-on experience with AWS services (S3, SNS, RDS, EC2, etc.).

• Solid command of HTML5, CSS3, and vanilla JavaScript; familiarity with at least one modern JS framework (Vue, React, or Angular).

• Proficiency in relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.

• Skilled in writing unit tests and using test frameworks (PHPUnit, pytest, etc.).

• Experience with code-quality tools such as SonarQube, including setting up quality gates and interpreting metrics.

• Experience with CI/CD tooling and agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).

• Competence with Docker container workflows and image management.
